When you choose to enable the WiFi debug mode, the device will automatically record some relevant information and store it in a log. When you choose to upload the log on the device, the log will be encrypted before being uploaded to the server currently connected to the device. The mode will be automatically disabled 8 hours after being enabled or when the device restarts, and the log saved on your device will be deleted once the mode is disabled.
In the debug mode, the uploaded information includes:
The IP address of the DNS server obtained by the device through DHCP;
The output of commands for network connection status, including: the ports currently monitored by the device and the status of TCP/UDP connection established with the external devices (such as IP addresses, ports, and local process names of both ends); the detailed information on the local network interface of the device (such as network interface name, IP address, MAC address, gateway address, statistics on sending and receiving data, etc.);
The information on packets captured, including data packets that the device uses for external communication.
The above information is used to help analyze the cause of network connection failure on your device. The information will be stored in the server for 90 days after upload. If you wish to delete the above information during the period, please send an email to privacy@roborock.com (if you are a GDPR-protected EU citizen, please send an email to privacy@roborock-eu.com).
